Picture this: I’m sipping coffee at a cosy café, surrounded by creativity. I spot a fellow design enthusiast with a Mac and headphones, thinking, “Ah, another communication design student.” But this isn’t just any café – it’s where I met Ranjan, the founder of 97Creatives, a global creative powerhouse for SaaS companies in Jaipur. Our design conversation ignited Ranjan, a design sprinter always seeking innovation. Intrigued by my project, he entrusted me to lead the 97Creatives branding revamp. It was a thrilling journey, resulting in a resounding success!
Fast forward to Apple’s tech revolution with the G3 iMac. This wasn’t just any computer; it was a game-changer, captivating hearts worldwide with its vibrant colours, sleek design, and innovative features. The mouse, keyboard, and accessories were crafted with human connection in mind, blending seamlessly into daily life and embracing design principles like Gestalt’s principles and isometric product views.
At 1997Creatives, we draw inspiration from this history, aiming to deliver fun, purpose-driven designs that honour our roots. We envisioned 97Creatives as a fusion of isometric, 3D, retro, Y2K, and minimal styles, capturing design and tech evolution. Our journey began with experimenting with basic shapes – circles, squares, triangles, polygons, and squircles. We wanted our design to resonate with our team of SaaS experts, visual designers, and system thinkers. Collaboration was key, and we realised traditional notebooks wouldn’t suffice. We needed a digital canvas, a space where ideas could flourish. That’s when we discovered the endless possibilities of collaboration on Canvas. From pixels to printing, from framing to showcasing, we filled the gaps with perfect blocks – the frame. It was a moment of pure design magic!
